BEST AMP FOR WHARFEDALE 9.1 SPEAKERS AND PROJECT TURNTABLE
Hello all,
Just looking for some pointers in the right direction for a new amp. I have just bought some Wharfedale 9.1 speakers and Qed silver anniversary XT cable to go with my Project Esprit turntable (Ortofon Alpha cartridge). I will be using it for vinyl mainly so a decent phono stage is a must. My budget is around £300. Been thinking about the Marantz pm6003 or the Rotel Ra 04se. Does anyone have any experience or thoughts on either of these as a pairing?...or even any other suggestions?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

yep id 2nd that, my nad 326 sound slovely with my wharfdales and project debut 3
Thanks for your input.
Was thinking about the nad but due to me having to spend a bit extra on a phono stage made a less likely choice.
Can get the marantz pm6003 for around £250 i think.
Anyone have any experience with that amps phono stage?
Cheers.
Your budget of £300 should allow you to get the NAD 326 new from somewhere like RicherSounds and a good phono amp like the basic Pro-ject. I have this combimation and it's a great sounding budget system. ![]()
