Well, you know the two solutions ...
1) Order your goods from the USA.
2) Move to the USA.
Otherwise - unless you have an effective plan to deal with the problem - what's the point in whingeing about it?

I know what you mean - to be honest this wouldn't have meant much to me until about 16 years ago when I lived and worked in the States for a while, met and married an American girl and came home to live in the UK. We get across every couple of years and I've spent a good amount of time planning what to buy when we're in the US and have 'saved' a faIr amount of money!
U;timately it seems to be down to our taxes (vat) and import/export duties...
I think the price comparison was done before taxes and duty was added. The news comes as no surprise, we have been ripped off for years.
