Cycling is where it's at...a proper sport

Until they clog up the roads or pull out in front of you and start waving their fists. Every cycle should have a registration number. Or in London, they should pay congestion charges. If you think that's OTT, travel to Vauxhall Cross in the rush hour. They're about 20 deep. Complete pain.  Aggressive

or maybe just ban cars from london, problem solved Wink

No issues with that. Just charge cyclists double. The Mayor has to generate revenue from somewhere.

Nothing wrong with cycling PP

- keeps much traffic off the roads

- lessens the strain on public transport

- helps lessen the impact on hospitals/UK revenue resource

- keeps people fit

- helps the environment

I could go on. I cycle everywhere rather than using the car if at all possible, and I'm well aware of Vauxhall Cross which is extremely dangerous for cyclists.

Anyway I wasn't talking about cycling around town, I was talking about ProCycling races. What these guys do is unbelievable.

And why do cars have more right to use the road than cyclists?

Never said they did.

There are numerous occasions where cyclists have casused accidents. Around where I live they either deliberately cycle in long lines or they'll cycle two or three abreast to prevent cars from passing. Only a few months ago I almost knocked one off at a roundabout. I had stopped and indicated to turn left, and he just pulled out -- I had to slam the breaks on. He shook his fist at me because he doesn't like cars (like many cyclists) even though I had the right of way. The cycle path was to my left.

They wear stupid cloths with matching helmets and they are a law unto themselves. I know of someone having their door mirror damaged because the cyclist couldn't wait 30 secs - hence why all bikes should be registered. If cars are damage you can't trace the cyclist. If they want a share of the road there should be a way of momitoring them.

Afterall, if a cyclist gets knocked down it's always the drivers fault. Pathetic. As I mentioned earlier go to Vauxhall Cross and the place is gridlocked. And it isn't cars. Bikes and cars do not mix.

Just remember Gel that Sir

Just remember Gel that Sir Alex Ferguson failed to win anything with Man U for his first 5 years . In the 89/90 season he finished 13 and most Man U fans were saying he is a load of rubbish and they wanted him gone. Managers are not given any sort of time now a days.

Feel a bit more positive

Feel a bit more positive about splashing out for the Man. Utd. v Liverpool match tickets now we've clinched the deals to bring Daley Blind & Rademael Falcao to the club, just as the Summer Transfer Window was about to close.

Can't blame them for wanting to get more first team game time but, even so, still gutted to see honest & willing players like Hernandez & Welbeck go elsewhere.

Good luck to them though.

Come on you Mancs.

Babur.

Man U have certainly been

Man U have certainly been splashing the cash!  I wondered if they had that much to spend.  They have to get better now surely?  I hope not.

As a Liverpool fan, what I'm

As a Liverpool fan, what I'm about to say doesn't come easy, but looking at their team now, they have a great looking attacking line-up. Defence is their problem, and I have no doubt that Van Gaal will sort that out. Smalling has all the attributes of a great central defender, so why is he so poor? Again, VG will probably get him sorted.

Top four? Who knows, it's already an up and down season, but if they can keep Van Persie, Falcao and Di Maria fit, they have a chance

Agreed: Up front they are spoiled for choice, the same with attacking midfielders. Still don't reckon Smalling. It's true he has the potential to be a really top-notch defender but whether he can transfer the potential into the finished article still not convinced. There always seems to be a mistake everytime he touches the ball.

Man U at the moment are top heavy.
