The cat has been attacked
English

She came back in from the back garden covered (paws and underneath only) in either paint or whitewash. We don't have any paint in our back garden, nor does the neighbour. Think I know who did it... proving it another thing.

Contacted the vets and they said use detergent and warm water. Easier said than done.

Really don't know what to do.

Cats can travel miles every

Cats can travel miles every day and have a far bigger 'range' than their owners imagine. Just because you and your neighbour didn't have any white paint drying doesn't mean someone else in the village didn't.

Let us know of any kit-for-cat reprisals.

Gutted for you mate, and your cat. It would sound like some little **** has deliberately thrown it at the cat. If that's the case then I hope they rot in hell.

As she's 17 she won't wander any further than a huge flower in the square behind our bungalow.

A bit over emulsional.

Anyway, if you throw paint at a cat, how does it only get on the underneath and paws? Seems to me that it was probably resting on someone's wet paint.

Looks like someone has lifted her up and dunked her in. Strange there's no paint on the front paws, just around her stomach and hind legs.

Just returned from the vets.

Just returned from the vets. All paint/whitewash removed and she's fine.... except the bank balance. For sum total of around 20 minutes + anti-inflammatory jab for her back legs came to £175.00.

We have netted in our back

We have netted in our back yard so the cats are confined.  Not because we wouldn't want them roaming, but because I don't trust anyone else out there!
