The way I see it, is that David Moyes has finally achieved what he's been trying for years, to get Everton above Man Utd in the Premier!   ROFL

Think Moyes has taken a poison chalice: All this started years ago. Apart from Van persie, how many top names has Fergy brought in the last 10 years? Rooney, perhaps? Last season flattered Man U.

Basically 8 of the 11 players on display last night are either very average, past their best or both. Think also telling was David Gill and Fergy leaving at the same time. Moyes has made mistakes (to be expected), but with a very average set of players. Can't make honey fron dog EDITED.

A Man U fan I know had a text a while ago with a picture of a lamp in the centre of a table, with the question "what do this lamp and Man U have in common", answer "they both look good in mid table". ROFL    He said to me that's one less mate he now has.

Could've been more if Harpo Marx had received a second yellow for the deliberate handball, or even received a straight red for the challenge on Gerrard.

There were contentious decisions on both sides, as I said, Harpo should have gone, Vidic was unlucky as Sturridge dived, Flanagan could've been second yellowed, though it would've been harsh, and Liverpool could've had a fourth penalty too.

I'm happy though.

Of course Rafael would not have been on the pitch for Flannagans "2nd yellow" if all had been by the book.

The dive was a dive, but imo still a pen and we should have had at least 2 more pens.

Utd got away lucky today.

I do so hope Moyes does not get sacked. Possibly the most tactically inept manager to manage a big team in quite a while.

I can't wait to see his purchasing in summer. Please please give him the reported 200 million. It will make my summer.

Mata...superb player, in a central attacking role. Moyes is wasting him.

Fellaini. A handful... Mid table quality mind you. He's the sort of player who fits in with a team with one ambition...to stay up. He is NOT "quality".

If United win another title in the next 5 years I will eat my hat.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were battling to be in the Uefa cup for the forseeable.

Spent force.

Will definitely bring more flair and creativity to the midfiled.

As a Man U fan I'm old enough to remember when our team was twice as bad as what it is at the moment, which admittedly is pretty bad.

(Alan Foggan, Tommy Baldwin, Arnold Sidebottom anybody?).

I can only remember the early Fergie years.  I have enjoyed Liverpool being poor in the league for over 20 seasons now, but now is time for another shift.
