I think we will have to limit the club to a maximum of 6 members
Pioneer tv + LX85, Sony HW15 Proj, Cyrus DAC XP+/Mono X300/CDXTSE2/PSXRx2, Vienna Acoustics Beethoven Baby Grands and Maestro centre, B&W CM1 surrounds /PV1D (9.1), CA BD751, Virgin TiVo, Inspire Rega t/t, Benz Glider MC, EAR 834P phono amp; Slee Novo Headphone Amp.TQ Black.
I don't have Lovefilm, I think there is no need to limitate to one service provider , i don't go to video clubs or to the cinema for that matter, i watch all my movies from the on line video club of my cable service.
Ben just means that any film that we recommend must be on Lovefilm, or it would be better for him if it was, you don't need to be a member of Love film, I'm not.
I understood what Ben suggested, I think we shouldn't limit the suggestions to one video operator, some films can stay out in that case... Just saying...
I understand, but we have to be fair to all members, and just because a film is not on Lovefilm (or another provider) one month, doesn't mean it will not be available later on.
I would propose that the member who's turn it is could recommend 3 films each month, then the other members can vote for which one they would like to see.

Here is a secret handshake.
That's how we select family films! I'll pull out a selection of three and someone else makes the final choice. Good idea.

Oh, and do invite Ms Newsome, she has a projector and eclectic taste and I will go round her house. She also has wine, a propos of nothing.
Count me in (at least in principle).
I'm absurdly busy at the moment, however, and likely to remain so, so I might not be able to devote as much time to this as people would like. On that basis, others should probably decide if they'd like me to participate. Another potential member might miss out!

What's a 'propos'?
So we can anticipate cogent critical analysis, then?
You didn't read the terms of the application process did you John?
As these terms weren't followed, I'm not sure we can accept your application, but, what might just swing it in your favour, is the eloquent nature of your application.
OK. Application accepted.
Ms Newsome will have to get here skates on and apply, there's only one place left.
Members List (so far)
Strapped For Cash
There is only one place left up for grabs, though if you do miss out on full membership, sub-membership will be available.
Sub-members will be allowed to watch, and comment on the movies chosen by the full members, but they will not be able to vote for, or propose the movie of the month. However, should a full member fail more than once to watch the movie of the month, his/her membership will be cancelled, and a sub-member will be invited to become a full member.
Sub-members will be allowed to watch, and comment on the movies chosen by the full members, but they will not be able to vote for, or propose the movie of the month.
Also, any comments they may make will be ignored.
I don't remember voting for this rule boss, where's my democracy gone?!
If it's monthly (which seems sensible) then that's probably fair enough. Although it should probably be a bit like your VAT bill, forget about missing it once after a certain time elapses.
