Anyone been listening to this years masterpieces on Radio 1 this week?  Some good albums as always with a documentary  and then the album in full. Just listened to Queens of the stoneage : Songs for the deaf rockin out . Other albums are Beastie boys : Ill communication, Arcade fire : Neon bible and The chemical brothers : Dig your own hole. Listened to the Songs for the Deaf programme - interesting stuff, especially Dave Grohl's chat re the recording-technique for drums. And generator parties sound cool  cool

Intend to hear the others. Wish they were avlbl as podcasts. Seems the BBC is cutting back on podcasts? Sad

You can downlaod the podcast of the documentary, but not the album. Clicky for QOTSA (about half way down the page), same with the other albums.

Quite suprised by Dave's comments regarding the recording of the drums, must have taken some doing to get that right.
