It's a close call but I prefer the Overtones version.





My favourite breakbeat act Hybrid recently released a cover of 'Enjoy the Silence'. Its a very close run thing! I love the Depeche Mode original, but this is an excellent cover. I love a cover when the new artist moves the track in to a different genre and puts a very distinctive stamp on it. This is very much a Hybrid track
3:30 to 4:30 is absolutely exquisite on the Hybrid cover, but I think overall the vocal is not good enough for the quality of music. Overall I would say Depeche Mode retain the crown, but if it was down to that 1 minute section Hybrid would win
