I've been disgusted with the quality of contemporary artists. Thanks to youtube and spotify I've managed to find few that stand out.


Susheela Raman, good songs include The Same Song, Save me

Yael Naim, good songs include Toxic (actually the best cover of toxic I have ever heard) and Far Far

Then theres this guy on youtube  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QgJG7aYkiYw&feature=autofb  he has the best cover of Fake Plastic Trees (dare I say even better than Radiohead) and also check out Wish That Home Were Here
