What's your favourite song? Just the one...
What is your favourite ever song? Only one allowed!
Mine? Tears for Fears - Sowing the seeds of love...
Why? A catchy tune, but it's just one of those songs which is musically perfect: From the lyrics, down to the brass parts, to the philicordia, to the amazing middle 8s, to the backing vocals after the middle8, to the drum fills, to the synths, to the bass riff, to the descanty bits...just a brilliant song!
Now, what's yours?

Good choice!!!
Stairway to heaven would have thought you'd have picked a Floyd or Yes track
At this moment in time.......New Radicals - You get what you give
Lost Angeles:Stairway to heaven would have thought you'd have picked a Floyd or Yes track
Comfortably Numb and Awaken were close, but Sowing the Seeds is just the best song ever IMO!
Blimey Hughsey you know how hard we find these!
At the moment as it`s topical and it really is one of my all time favourites I`m going to go for -
All About Eve - December (Narnia mix)
If you`re fed up with the same old Christmas songs then this one is well worth checking out.
Ok hughesy this will skank ya comeing from a dyed in the wool ageing floyd/yes/genesis/zep etc etc kinda guy.
Young Gifted and Black .The Bob and Marcia take on it. Much much different from the original nina simone cut. It just bounces along and i defy anyone not to at the very least tap a foot to it. Its an absolute reggae classic and i still play it nowadays.

Blimey,i got it as a single at the time. But i do have it on a 3cd box set.Its called super 70s reggae and crops up now and again on ebay. If you want to look it up there is guy wearing a rasta coloured tank top on the cover. If it floats your boat so to speak this is a pretty good collection of songs.

try "young, gifted and black" from trojan. it's a 2cd compilation of old reggae hits, so lots of good stuff.
and now i've got reggae on the brain, favourite song: me - "hurt so good" - susan cadogan. the g/f has gone for "many rivers to cross" - jimmy cliff.
when i haven't got reggae on the brain, i usually go for comfortably numb.
8 ball by Underworld
'Autumn' by the Strawbs, from their 'Hero and Heroine' album. I remember seeing the acoustic version of the band play it live at Leicester Cathedral about 3 years ago and it was a very special moment. Its a great example of Dave Cousin's songwriting prowess and the great performance abilities of this wonderful band.
Even after all these years I still have a soft spot for The Ramones Beat on the Brat , So fast, loud, short .. dead oh. well!!
