What music have you just bought?
A bit of a variation on the "What are you listening to?" theme, I enjoy the whole process of buying music (old or new) and giving it those first few critical listens. I'd be interested to hear what others think of my acquisitions and what others are buying.
I've just been filling in a few gaps in my collection and these haven't arrived yet:
Arctic Monkeys: Whatever people say I am, that's what I'm not
Lady Gaga: Poker Face
Lenny Kravitz: Are you gonna go my way
Air: Moon Safari
Led Zeppelin: I - Remastered
PFM Cook Triple CD special edition
Yes Drama extended edition
Royksopp - Senior.
Interpol - Interpol.
David Gray - Foundling.
Ludovico Einaudi - Live in Berlin (import).

Well the last cd i bought was chinese democracy by guns n roses, i tend to when i have some spare cash buy blu rays, but i would like the new slash album and my chemical romance are bringing out a new album next month that i would like too.
I find i can listen to them on you tube anyway, so i am not to worried about it.
With regards to your music i thought the Led Zeppelin one was good, the rest are not my cup of tea.

It's nearly that time of year again !! This one should go well with my choices from previous years - Connie Francis, Doris Day, Carpenters, Ella Fitzgerald, Kristen Chenoweth. Not got Maria Carey yet, I'll wait for that one to mature a few more years before considering the purchase. Merry Christmas everyone ! ![]()
This is my kind of thread! Bought a few bits last Monday, haven't had a chance to listen to them yet.
Eli "Paperboy" Reed: Come and Get It! on Vinyl,
Hot Chip: We Have Remixes 4 track EP (vinyl), both from the Drift Record Shop in Totnes (very good vinyl shop, lots of more leftfield choices),
and finally, from Oxfam, the 1967 US Pressing of J.R.R Tolkien reading Poems and Songs of Middle Earth; the cover is knackered, the record looks ok but it's very dusty, doesn't look like it's ground in though, for an eye-watering TWENTY FIVE QUID!!! I tried to reason with them but the bloke refused to budge, saying their experts knew what things were worth. If I wasn't such a geek I'd have left it but it's another addition to the collection...
Good for you, whatever floats your boat.![]()
Last CD I bought was "Band of Joy" by Robert Plant on the day of release. "Trying" to save to upgrade my speakers so music purchases temporarily on hold (until I next walk past HMV!)
Just ordered the Japanese release of Thirteenth Step by A Perfect Circle after hearing one of the tracks in the ProAc room at the Manchester show.

I really love buying music, especially from play.com, definitely from the second hand section! Like the OP I so spend a lot on filling up the gaps in my collection, and the second hand stuff is great to do that. In fact, I am going to go and buy some more stuff now.

What do you think of these 2 dave?
I've given both of them a go on Spotify and I am not quite convinced yet. I was expecting something special from Magnetic Man. Another listen or two needed perhaps?
Latest albums I've bought are:-
Aqualung (25th Anniversary edition) - Jethro tull
2112 - Rush
The Betrayed - Lost Prophets
This Is War - 30 Seconds To Mars
Meet The Eels - Eels
I rarely buy stuff as a new release. I'm in no hurry so will wait for deals. There's so much stuff that I want to get into I just don't have time to listen to never mind getting around to buy it.
