I finally got around to watching Casino Royal on dvd last night. It's the 1st dvd I have watched on my PS3 since the newest firmware upgrade and the picture quality was amazing. Virtually no picture noise at all, really clean and detailed. Not sure if it's the latest update or the quality of the dvd transfer or a mixture of both, but it was bloody impressive on my 42" Pany plasma.

Im a big Bond fan and have all the ultimate edition dvd's, but I have to say it's one of the best Bond's I have seen in a long time. I was interested to see how the new Bond would perform, but after 5 minutes it seemed like Mr.Craig had been doing it for years. I completely forgot I was watching the new James Bond and was completely sucked in to the film. For a new Bond I think that's about as good a compliment as you can get. Seemed alot shorter than the 2hr20 running time as well.

Only slight issue with the film was the lack of one liners, and a few more gadgets would be nice. I hope we see a few more of these in the new films. Overall though I really enjoyed it, apart from that scene where they cut the bottom out of the chair. Makes me shudder just thinking about it Indifferent

Oh dear, think you're going to be disappointed in the lack of one liners and gadgets in Quantum of Solace. Good film but not old-school Bond.
