iTunes Fatigue Explained...

I figured out how Apple is selling so much music.  It's called iTunes Fatigue (coined by moi).  You see Apple has intentionally packed iTunes with hundreds of thousands of horrible bands and songs so as you search for good music you slowly become desensitized to bad music.  Then when you stumble across something that is only "mediocre" instead of the usual "appalling" you say to yourself, "Wow, this is amazing!" because by comparison to most of the dreck it is...

I gave up on poking around itunes and trying muisc like that (the various 'top', 'hot' etc. ones are usually especially bad). I also often found recommendations from (mag) reviews were much more miss than hit.


In recent years I mostly look up music and artist I actually hear playing and like. Otherwise, it is often a disappointment.


Taste differ.
