If you don't like Bon Iver For Emma then I don't like you... :)
Listen to this recording late at night after a few drinks. If it doesn't speak to you then sell your hifi. You don't need it.
Boring and relentless "chunka chunk" acoustic guitar punctuated by some bloke whining about having cold knees (I think) whilst two people next door can be occasionally heard doing their brass practice.
You'll have to dislike me.
Right then, must sell my HIFI today and get an ipod with everything ripped as MP3
Like it? I've never even heard of it!

Don't bother...
My hi-fi is quite happy playing Beethoven Symphonies recorded by Furtwangler and the Berlin Phil in 1954 this morning, but thanks all the same.
Music speaks to each of us in different ways depending on frame of mind at the time of hearing I guess.
I, after just listening to as much as my ears could bare to, wasnt in the right frame of mind to have it speak to me! ![]()
After listening to and watching Seasick Steve clips on Youtube last night, he is a genius, well .... what I just tortured my ears with was goddamm dreadfull! and no I wont sell my stuff ![]()
not for me, i found it boring to be honest![]()
Sun Jerez Texas followed by Getz/Gilberto for me last night. Tried the Bon Iver but found its charm elusive.
A wining vocal over a dull, uninspiring background.
I'll keep my hi-fi for something good if that's ok?
Yeah, but you have to listen to it a good 20 or 30 times before you "get it", get it?
Uhg! How come I'm always alone on these things!!! Somebody must like it besides me, Iggle and all the music critics (yes I know, can't be trusted and all that...).
Oh yeah, I still like you guys anyway...I can't help it you're all so dam cute and cuddly, especially big chris. ![]()
Dam rum and cokes! Only a fully inebriated person would stick their neck out for Bon Iver. I should have used something like Led Zep IV or The Beatles White. I'd be making friends left and right....
