Greatest sit-com ever
Should be interesting and contentious, but for my money, it has to be FATHER TED
`this thread should get a few replies..
for me it has to be "friends"
Corrie.
Definitely a lot to choose from... plus defining a sit-com is contentious in itself!
I'll plump for Blackadder
Two and a half men for me ![]()
In order
- The Royle Family
followed by
Only Fools & Horses
BlackAdder goes forth
Fawlty Towers
Till Death Us Do Part was pretty good as was
Bless This House
Big Bang Theory can be good too
The Liver Birds
Bread.
I have many classic sitcoms on DVDs (latest additions being IT Crowd and The Good Life).
All of them are British, except my complete 11 series of Frasier.
Despite my love of Father Ted, Coupling, Blackadder, Steptoe & Son, Fawlty Towers, Black Books...etc..(to name but a few of our comedy DVDs), my 'Desert Island Comedy series' would, alas, be Frasier.
WoW chebby I forgot that, yeah that and Cheers ... brill ! ![]()

Per-lease. Only one contender for me: Frasier. Pure genius.
Porridge, Rising Damp, One foot in the grave, Dad's Army, Allo Allo!
Would like to add EARLY DOORS, subtle, but genious.

Yes, Cheers was brilliant too.
seinfeld![]()
"Open all Hours". It was pure genius !

For old stuff, Fawlty Towers. For newer stuff, Spaced.
But, there's too many I like!
