A music IMDB: is there such a thing?
Is there a place on the interweb where all music/albums/artists/composers are listed/rated/etc. like there is for movies?
No ratings But LastFM Has Artist info album listings etc, you can listen to music on there too. Not Quite IMDB but good all the same.
I find the iTunes Store quite informative, actually. Though no Beatles in there, of course.....

Discogs is the most complete music database I know of.

Oh dear. I didnt actually dismiss the £75 straight away. I love this book. 
Well there is Gracenote where iTunes gets its data from. Not quite like IMDB though......
