Shop staff who dont know anything about what they are selling....*RANT*

I have to admit I have seen alot of threads now about shop staff who dont have a clue about the products they are selling! I find this shocking and cant believe these people manage to sell anything..... If I had any staff like that in my shop they would be hung out to dry....... I know not everyone knows everything about all the AV products (apart from the staff at what hifi
) but anyones staff should know about the products they are selling!

True but its funny how one bad thing can drag the name right down
and its nice to see the manufactuers taking an interest in the training of the independent retailers,





But then you'll find an equal number of threads slating internet retailers for poor customer service!
Some retailers are truly excellent (online and on the high street) and they should be praised for their efforts.
Many (if not all) are member of the industry bodies that aim to offer a certain level of service and training: such as BADA and CEDIA.
