Sevenoakes Sonos Demo
Looking forward to this tomorrow afternoon where I can compare/combine the sonos route with a Hifi setup. Shame I will not have the funds until early next year.
On the Hifi front I was going to listen to a NAD setup compared to a Roksan version and take the advice of Sevenoakes for the digital/wifi media as I am at a loss (no pun intended) on what is good audio quality/equipment on the streaming side.
As I do not possess a true Hifi setup I have a Cyrus 6 (Amp/CD/B&W) and the Arcam Mini Solo/KEF as a Reference from previous auditions.
I have a CDR with some i-tunes compilations and the Annie Lennox Diva /Xanadu Soundtrack /Def Leppard Hysteria CDs.
What can I say!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The NAD and Rocksan Demo went out of the window when I was subjected to.....
Sonos £580 compared to Cyrus 6XP Amp £899 & Cyrus 6SE CD £899 with KEF IQ30 Spkrs plus stands £499.
Many, many thanks to Sevenoakes, Plymouth (Dave)for the inevitable conclusion that proves Hifi has met its next chapter and has saved me from making an expensive mistake.
On another tangent I was able to Review Monitor Audio BR speakers, but I am more excited by the revelation that napster music by cyrus audiophile standards IS just as good as CD.
