I've never purchased from Scan before. I ordered 2 Western Digital Red 2TB hard drives last week, as amazon gave a 4-5 week delivery time, & this was the only place I could find who had them in stock & were priced sensibly. I went through another forum to qualify for free delivery.

I placed the order on Friday, & was given the option of Monday delivery. But I would've been at home only on Thursday (today), so I selected today's date.

Within a few minutes of placing my order, I was notified of when was the order accepted, picked and sent out for delivery (separate emails), & was even given the serial number of drives within an hour of ordering!  Shock

I got constant updates from DPD couriers, & got a text from them this morning giving me a 1 hour delivery slot & the name of the driver! And as promised, the order arrived withing the allocated slot.

The items came well packaged with security seals. The hard drives were individually bubble wrapped, bearing the same serial number I was given at the time of purchase (serial numbers covered with the best tool I could find! Smile  ) :

I'm very happy with the experience, & will shop from them again!  beauty, eh

dpd delivered to us today. Not the only courier to give accurate time slots but well done to them and to suppliers using them.

Indeed - DPD seem to be the only common sense couriers out there i.e. telling you when they are going to deliver something in advance, giving you an easy option to change this delivery time if you need to, giving you an hour slot rather than just "it might come sometime on that day between 7am and 7pm" etc. etc.

Its a Geopost thing, so interlink express do the same one hour window as DPD do.

I've used Scan in the past to buy a few Icy Dock bits and pieces, good company.

Top company Scan. I only live a few miles away from their place at Bolton's Reebok, and I used them solely when building my own PC a couple of years ago. At the time my job meant I was delivering to Scan most days so it was the logical place to buy all my components, but I found that they carried a very extensive range of gear at competitive prices.
