Praise for Sevenoaks Southampton and Audio T, Basingstoke
Recently, I purchased a large amount of new hifi equipment mainly from Sevenoaks but also some ProAc 110 standmounts from Audio T in Basingstoke.
Both shops had excellent demonstration fascilities and allowed you to listen in peace to your music without any interruptions. The staff were very well informed and also showed interest in hifi and had personal experience of much of the equipment. They were also able to provide useful suggestions with respect to system and cable matching.
At no time did I feel under pressure to buy. Also, when I did make my purchases I feel that I got very fair deals and was not encouraged to buy any uneeded extras.
All in all, a great retail experience. So would recommend these two hifi retailers to anyone!

They are paired with a Marantz SA8003 cd player and Marantz PM8003 integrated amp. Chord silverscreen speaker cable is being used along with Chord Chameleon Interconnect.
I tested this setup with, Monitor Audio, Spendors, Focal and Epos speakers but the ProAcs were the best match by far!
I can second that praise for Audio T in Basingstoke. I have recently purchased a Pioneer SC-LX81 Receiver and PDP-LX71 Bluray, not only did they give me impartial advice and some recommendations on some alternatives to demo, but they also matched (or bettered in the case of the PDP-LX71) the best price I could find on the internet.
They will be getting more of my business shortly...
