Hi everybody, I have just bought my first "proper" hi fi system from a place in Bracknell called Green Home Electronics.

He's not really geared up for visitors but still made me feel welcome and took time to talk to me. At the time of my visit his shelves were crammed with hifi, mainly older stuff.

Came away with a NAD3020, a Marantz CD63, a pair of Tannoy 603's a Denon Tu260 tuner, really delighted with the sound. I would have liked a pair of floorstanders but don't have the space. I might be back for a turntable at some point, Wife permitting Smile

Not sure if this is the right place to say hello, it seemed the best place to say thanks to Dave for getting me in to a most enjoyable hobby. He has two web sites - www.usedhifishop.co.uk (bit empty at the moment - top end stuff, too dear for me) and www.greenhomeshop.co.uk where he does the mid end stuff. Very highly recommended.

Hi, you got some good kit there, and that's an interesting site - good to see some of the old brands such as Sansui, Heathkit and Acoustic Research, that I remember from my (long-gone) youth!

You should see his workshop and store room - pure pornography!!

I phoned him yesterday and he tells me he has a whole pile of goodies coming in today so I think I know where I will going later in the week. I really shouldn't, I love my system as it is but I can't wait to see some of the stuff he has told me about - Pioneer reference seperates and Celestion A3 floor speakers. Apparently they are huge so Mrs. Greebling might have something to say about that. He also has a Project turntable coming in but that will most likely be over my budget. Unless I sell a kidney.Smile
