I was quite apprehensive about going into a high end Hi-Fi shop and asking for advice, I thought I would be sold old stock or looked at funny because my budget was only £700 but I was so so wrong.

The manager David was so helpful and friendly, setting up multiple amps for audition in a very fancy demo room. He made me and my friend tea and coffee and left us to ponder over each set-up, and giving us his input only after he had our feedback. We were in his demo room for 2 and a half hours and not once did he try to rush us, if anything he seemed as if he was enjoying talking to us about all the different equipment in the shop. Then to top everything off he gave me a great deal on my system (£650 for a Marantz NR1601 and Bostons XS 5.1 with free speaker cable).

I'm going back there for all my future purchases as I have never felt so welcome in a shop before, if anyone is from the Solihull area I would seriously recommend dropping in Smile

That's as it should be (but often isn't), and is a perfect example of why a good dealer is worth sniffing out.

I've had similarly pleasant treatment in their branch in Stafford. Very helpful
