M.D. Audio Visual - Christchurch, Dorset.

For anyone local to the area I think this place is worth a quick mention, 

Little shop selling mostly second hand gear but does stock some new and can order in (stuff stacked everywhere as downsized from four shops to one). No demo room but I was told it was much better to audition things at home anyway.

Have spent a long time in there chatting about Hi-Fi in general. The chap who runs the place has a lot of professional experiance and genuinley seems to know his stuff. The impression I have is that the place is run more as hobby by an enthusiast than just as an outlet.

Two examples of service:

When looking for stands last year I was given good advice and lent various heights etc to try at home before ordering my choice in brand new.

Again, when deciding on a speaker upgrade earlier this year I once again was given a good recommendation after lenghtly discussion and lent a pair to demo at home over Christmas before ordering in my choice (Monitor Audio RX1s) brand new at a discounted price.
