I don't know if anyone else knows of them but I have nothing but praise for them! They really helped me out when I wanted to buy a 'proper' turntable, I went for a Rega P3-24 with Elys cart and TT PSU and I could not be happier! The customer service I got from those guys was (and still is) first class. Check them out!!

Yea, i,ve been in a few times, nice guys. Glasgow Audio on Gt Western Road is also a great place and has the new b&w 800 diamonds, but for really serious hi-fi take a visit to Audio Salon at Park Circus, Jack Lawson, wow some bad kit.

Yeah Audio Salon is a place I'm afraid to go in to..... Much too rich for my blood I'm afraid! Lovely stuff though and Jack is a very friendly guy I have to say. I am very happy with the price level in Loud and Clear until I magically win the lottery, and even then I like the guys in there so much I'd still go there!

Re: Loud And Clear Glasgow

Hi all, do you know if any of these shops do repairs?  Used to use Stereo stereo where i bought my kit second hand, but the guys who took over a few years ago don't seem so keen on repairs, just want to sell you new stuff. I think my kit is so old the solder is failing.

Hi Derek, not sure if Glasgow Audio do repairs and I doubt Audio Salon do. I know Loud and Clear definitely do Turntable repairs, not sure about anything else, sorry. Give them a call and ask for Alan, if he can't help you he'll at least tell you who can. What do you need repaired?

Can't recommend Loud and Clear highly enough; I've been in the Edinburgh shop a few times over the years and the guys there are always helpful, friendly and John (the owner I think) has been there from day one. Highly recommended - no pressure, they let you make your own decisions and work from there.

Glasgow Audio themselves do not do repairs, but they can put you in touch with someone who does, depending on what it is.

Re: Loud And Clear Glasgow

i work with a Hi-Fi shop in Glasgow and i am an installer just for an up date on repairs from Hi-Fi shops in terms of servicing i.e. turntables drive unit replacement that sort of thing any good Hi-Fi shop will do this in the shop for you as for general repairs all Hi-Fi shops use one guy Jim  who is an exceptional technician.

loud and clear / Jim's charge is 25 pounds standard charge to have a look at the problem this charge comes off the price of the repair if you decide to get it fixed or off the price of a new product if you wish to get something new  hope this helps
