Kuala Lumpur International AV Show 2009
Hi all,

Anyone planning for a vacation in the Far East during this time? Try to visit the AV show.
NOTE. The website is not fully updated yet but you can have a glimpse of last year's event.
Should this not be on the 'There's this shop nowhere near me...' part of the forum? I will ask the wife about attending, but the answer will probably be no.
Think I can safely say the familiar all-red WHFSV stand and demo room won't be there. Unfortunately.
Basically because we have enough trouble getting our editor to go south of the river, let alone that far away.

Wasnt sure where to put up the post. But yeah, by all means the editor can move the post to a more suitable forum.

I always hope that WHF can come and visit the show as well. I do see HiFi Choice reps around the show but not sure whether they actually write up a report on the event.

I agree with you. This event is less attractive without WhatHiFi team

the show is over. it was quite successful and drew a large crowd despite the recession. there were lots of high end components like TAD speakers, Wilson Benesch and Wilson Sasha on display and phlips launched a 56" cinema proportion 29:1 lcd tv. ciao.
Totally agree. However, some companies did not take part this year and one of them is ARCAM. Was looking forward to see them again this year. I particularly liked the Naim and Mcintosh show rooms.
One thing I noticed, the wireless streaming is picking up a storm here. HDMI streaming seems to be the in thing now and not to mention NAS equipments.
Got myself a Rega Apollo CDP and QED Conduit power cable at a bargained price. 
Also Bluray movies were selling at about 12 to 17 GBP. Bought 10 movies.
Looking forward for next year's.

Kuala Lumpur is lovely. A great metropolitan city. The heat is a killer tho'!
