John Lewis - Edinburgh - superb service
I posted in the TV subforum that I'd bought a Sony KDL-32EX503 from John Lewis on Christmas Eve. They were offering it with a free Sony BDP-S370 Blu-Ray player - £549 and with Sony's VAT back deal, this was a winner. Just checked the JL website this morning and they've cut the price on the telly by a further £100. So, a quick phone call to the Edinburgh shop and the £100 was refunded straight to the card. No questions, no hassle and no fuss. As ever, simply brilliant. The long and the short of it is, the '503 will cost me less than £400 when the VAT cash comes back from Sony. A top deal.
I am a member of the John Lewis fan club too ![]()
We don't live in the UK but we always like shopping at John Lewis. Last October I picked up my bargain of the year at their shop in Cardiff: a gold plated digital connection cable for GBP 0,70. (Last stock). They work great to connect my DVD player to my DACMagic.
i have purchased the last 4 televisions from j lewis in norwich where the the staff are very helpful, the co. will price match and there is a 5 year guarantee.i will always recommend this retailer.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I have always had very good experience with John Lewis at Oxford Street London. They had been my favorite store for buying many HiFi components and Cameras when I was residing in London.
Which are other equally reputed and reliable dealers of HiFi equipment in and around London at present?
Bought my Pioneer Screen from John Lewis, Edinburgh too(a while back).
I have had no problems at all with it!!
The 5 year warranty is incredible!!
Just hope nothing happens to my now discontinued plasma!!
Yup, same here.
