which is nowhere near me (probably about 300 miles away) but I dropped Nick an email after I had seen several of his posts on here.

In the posts he was helpful and un-pushy so i mailed him directly as I was enquiring about what speakers would go with a particular amp I had already ordered from another supplier.

Not only was Nick very professinal. in spite of my never ending questions he was very knowledgeable and very polite, offering several alternatives with the pro's and cons of each.

In the end I got a great deal from him and ended up ordering the speakers, the cable to go with them, and cancelling my order for the amp and blu-ray player and getting everything through Nick.

A top man.  I'll certainly be using him again.

Well in about 12 months once the bank balance has re-plenished a bit Smile

Re: Home Cinema Centre, Edinburgh

I bought my Yamaha RX-V3900 from the Home Cinema Centre and have subsequently bought Apollo stands from them as well. I got a call a couple of days before the stands were due to be delivered and a courtesy call after they arrived to check everything was OK, mostly because of the weight of them pre-filled with sand.

Over a couple of visits I dealt with Gerry and Dan, both of whom were very pleasant, enthusiastic and knowledgable. They let me mess about with various combinations of my model of speakers on different manufacturer and heights of stands for an hour or so.

Next time I'm in Edinburgh I might pop in to see what I can add to my AV empire next...decent CD player I'm thinking.
