Does anyone else worry about employee conditions when shopping?
Over the years, shopping has become much easier for the consumer. Within a few button clicks we can order *anything* (subject to laws).
Some of the larger companies, such as Apple and Amazon have become famous for great customer service. But at the same time we see reports of immense suffering in factories / sweat shops. Low pay and terrible working conditions, enabled by the lax employee laws in third world countries.
I use Amazon quite often, but am getting more and more reluctant to do so.
We see reports like this
And of course it isn't just these 2 compaies, it's most of the big boys...
So does anyone else feel that something is wrong here, or do we simply accept it and hope it gets better?
