Cardiff Sevenoaks S&V - sadly closed!
Well admitedly I only found out it closed a little while ago when I drove past, but does anyone know why?
The staff in there were great, very helpful/knowledgable/friendly and never in any rush to sell you anything. The listening room at the back was perfect, especially considering they would come in to setup the kit you were testing, show you towards the bowl of sweets and then shut the door and leave you in peace to test away.
Really sad to see its gone.
Theres a place on cowbridge road east just a little way up from Richer Sounds on the left but I cant vouch for it as Ive never been there. Audio Excellence are OK though (although not as good as the old SSAV staff!) youre probably best going there, theyre on Crwys Road and have a demo room or two and knowledgable staff.
Theres also a place opposite where the Police station used to be in ButeTown/Cardiff Bay, they seem to do a variation of different products including multi room equipment and network ready stuff. Again i've never been in there so cant really comment on it!
I've found Audio Excellence on Crewys Road to be really helpful and willing to take all the time you need to demo systems. The only drawback is a bit of a lack of budget kit.

Yes their lack of budget kit is the problem really. From your setup I take it that you bought a hifi from them!

I'm annoyed too! Just looking to buy my first hifi seperates and finding a severe lack of places in Cardiff to test stuff out! (do you know anywhere apart from audio excellence
