I ordered  a Yamaha 667 reciever along itha pair of Monitor Audio BX2 speakers and Atacama Nexus stands from Frank Harvey, Ive used them before and been very happy with the service and advice they offered.  No complaints again this time, same excellent friendly service and good advice!

I ordered on the 30th and was told they may arrive the next day, although there was a chance they may arrive in the new year.   No problem, as i had nothing to do anyway (we are not staying there at the moment as we are getting a new bathroom  installed) I stayed there most of the day although i did nip to the shop and also fell asleep for an hour or so.  By 5 pm I left as I did not think they would be doing deliveries any later than that on new years eve.  I returned a few hours later and still there was no note saying that they had tried to deliver the goods.  No problem, ill just wait till new year,,,

then today when i was at the pub watching the Edinburgh derby, I get a phone call from the other half to say the parcels were lying in the back garden, completely left in the open!!!  They were wet as it had been raining the night before, but luckily they had been well wrapped!  wround 600 bucks worth of kit just lying for anyone to take.  Ive not had a chance to try the yamaha so hopefully its not been damaged.  It clearly states on the pakage do not leave unattended!! total morons!!  Not even a note throgh the door explaining where they were!  Well done Parcel Force!!!!

I dont hold frank Harvey responsible for this at all!  But I will be informing them of what happened!

Funny that, I ordered my new dac and this was just left in the front porch by Parcelfarce. Signature required delivery of a 500 quid item, the temptation to claim ignorance of the delivery was almost overwhelming,,,,,,,,,,,

Re: Can you believe this?!?!?!

Must depend on which Parcel Force driver you get.........

My regular one now knows I'm best to receive parcels before 10am in the morning, so my drop off is always before then......

If I'm not in, he will not leave it, but instead he leaves his card (mobile number). When I have called him in the past, he has told me where he is and asked if I want to come pick it up (assuming stil in town).

If not, he will deliver again the next day after asking what time I'll be in.....

GREAT SERVICE!!!!!

Re: Can you believe this?!?!?!

I'm sorry to hear about what happened Pink Moon - because we've been so busy, I missed this thread, but just seen it because of Pete's reply (thanks Pete). We have tried many couriers, with many being similar in peformance, and some worse. We chose Parcel Force because generally speaking we don't really get many problems in relation to the large amount of parcels we send out every day.

Unfortunately, you'll ocassionally get the odd impatient driver who really can't be bothered to come back if no one is in, especially when the weather's bad or there's a back log to clear.

I'm sure by now you've already informed the HiFix guys, if so, thanks for bringing our attention to it as we need to know these things!

And it is a good job we wrap them! Smile
