Just been in to the above store because I've been having problems downloading the new OS for my iPod Touch (On a different thread). I didn't buy the iPod there and I've never been in to it before. However, when I told them about the problems I'd been having, they offered to install the new OS there and then. They warned me that there was a chance I'd lose the data stored on it, but as everything on it was backed up, I wasn't worried.

It took them about 5 minutes, nothing was lost from the iPod and they never tried to sell me anything while I was there. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the products in the store.

Great Service.

I had the same experience with the Apple Store in the Bull ring, Birmingham. Staff were helpful and really approachable. The only issue with Apple stores is wading past the hoards of children who insist on hoging all of the kit on display!!

Had similar great experiences with the Apple stores, we were lucky
enough to be in the Soho store in downtown Manhattan, our 9 yr old (as
she was then) managed to pour her drink over the keyboard of one of the
Macs in the kids area, not a problem ,no excitement, seems all to be
part of a days work! Even bought the 160 GB Classic there.

Had good service in Bluewater and even at our
local Storm (franchise) store ..........clearly very good training and
implementation.

Mr Jobs' team should be well congratulated on an
envious business model
