RE: SUPERFI-APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE

You have to appreciate the possibilty that even though a retailer doesn't take part in forums, it doesn't mean they're not present... Smile

(not saying this is the case here)

Can you imagine the MD of a large PLC instructing staff not to give out their name, or refusing to engage with customer's complaints ?! The principal is the same.

As you were not party to the conversations I had with them, you are hardly in a position to judge. However, I can asssure you that the retailers of the Pansonic VT50B and Pioneer LX55 that I have subequently bought are more than happy to have had my custom.

No wonder the amount you paid!  Lol.  Laughing

Well, it was cheaper than Superfi's price, and the service was in a different league. Sorry that you can only afford the poverty spec Panny

What are the advantages of VT50 over GT50 spec wise?

RE: SUPERFI-APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE

Hi everyone, just because I mention that I got a really good deal on some Hifi equipment in the Superfi Sale does not mean that I work for Superfi. Are we not allowed to post on the forums if we got a good deal ?

I can confirm that I don't work for Superfi. I have never worked for Superfi. I will never work for Superfi and have no connection to the Company whatsoever.

There is a member on here who is doing his utmost to get my positive review removed from another website. From reporting it as fake many times, he has now resorted to posting various nasty and malicious comments with regards to it. Not only has this member posted here about his supposed bad Superfi experience, but all over the web. It seems to me that this member is obsessed with Superfi and it's Managing Director. He has gone so far as to post the Manager Director's Personal Name and Adrdress all over the web which in my humble opinion is very wrong. How would he like it if somebody did the same. He also does not like anybody posting positive reviews with regards to Superfi. However, one point that I must make, is that we have only heard his side of the story and not Superfi's.

For anybody who has got the time and can be bothered to do so, you can read through all my posts and it will tell you that I only really purchase from my local Superfi in Leeds. They have always given me excellent customer service and it was there that I was introduced to the wonderful sound of Bowers & Wilkins.

Hope this helps Smile

RE: SUPERFI-APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE

I will also add that reading through this member's post on another forum, it seems that this issue with the supposed faulty Sony Receiver occured in 2010. He had the unit for 3 months and after it developed a fault, he wanted a refund. Now my understanding with regards to this is that if you have a fault after 3 months, you are entitled to a waranty repair and not a refund. Please correct me if I'm wrong. A refund is at the discretion of the retailer.

Also, if this issue occured in 2010, why wait until 2013 to post your negative review on a certain review site and on this forum. Don't really get that.

My most recent purchase from Superfi Leeds was only a couple of weeks ago and it was a brand new pair of Bowers & Wilkins P5 Headphones again purchased in the Superfi Sale.

After purchasing many items from the store and receiving excellent customer service each time, am I not allowed to put a positive review on the web ?

Thanks Smile

RE: SUPERFI-APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE

I have only good things to say about Superfi service here in London ( Camden).

I bought my B&W 685s for £325 also. Only it happened more than two years  ago.  They do have special deals for these speakers only in store, time after time. Although at the time I was thinking about CM5 shop manager offered me to try 685s. For this price and sound it was no brainer.  Manager was really honest and open helped me to make a choice I am still very happy with.

I think every shop has it’s own list of ‘upset’ customers. Only these are short ones, otherwise these hifi shops are destine to disappear.

ROFL

My, my, I havn't laughed so much since Gordon Brown lost the last Election. As to this particular work of fiction, allow me to correct a few Jackanorys:

1) I reported his review on T********t once. Not many times, but once. Why ? Because not only does it read like an advertisment, but he has form; having promoted S******i's sale on this site on the past. Read it yourself; it's not normal. Oh, I did also report him a second time as he added a rant aimed at me, accusing me of being "obsessed" with S******i. Ironic for someone who posts free advertising for a company that he has no connection with. The site agreed with me that it was inappropriate, and deleted this.

2) I have made no "nasty or malicious" comments at all, I merely questioned the veracity of it. Not unreasonable bearing in mind the above.

3) I have not posted "all over the web", but on a couple of consumenr review sites. Hardly excessive.

4) The name and address of  the MD was posted solely due to his complete abdication of responsibility in realtion to the failings of his company, and his reluctance for his staff to give out his details. If you read the reviews on the review site, you will note that I am far from alone in my opinion of the  company, something that Sound10 seems to overlook. His details are a matter of public record on the web via Companies House, and can be easily accessed by anyone who can use Google. His details are therefore hardly a state secret.

5) As for hearing S******i'a side of the story, well they have the right of reply on the review site, something that many companies take advantage of. S*******i however , in typical style, don't seem to give a monkey's and just ignore reviews, positive or negative.

But hey, don't take my word for it, make your own minds up

Hope this helps

Jessops & Comet were the authors of their own misfortune. If any company fails to provide what customers want, then they go to the wall. It's not sad, it's just simple economics - suppy & demand.

No. Because their attitude towards me as a customer was apalling. The end result was just the final insult. But as I say, I'm far from the only one with that opinion. If you or others have had a positive experience, then fine, I'm very happy for you.

RE: SUPERFI-APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE

cloverleaf146, really sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with Superfi and I can understand where you are coming from but only upto a certain point. I'm quite fussy myself when it comes to Customer Service and when a company that I deal with gets things right and offers excellent Customer Service I sing their praises and let others know how good they are. However, if they get things wrong, or offer poor Customer Service, then I make sure that I let them know. That is the only way to improve things. You had a bad experience with Superfi and you have let everybody know about it. That's fair enough.

However what I would not do is what you are doing now. It just doesn't make any sense to me. Just move on and let it go. You've had your say. Let others have their say aswell. Please Smile

Finally, make sure that you purchase items using a credit card. That is what I do. If then, you a have a dispute with a retailer and it can't be resolved, then the credit card company can get involved.

Hope this helps Smile

I myself have had bad dealings with superfi and their staff. What a shabby pile of useless excrement their staff are. Speakers were left in shop for two weeks before being sent to mission. They promise to call you back to let you know what’s happening. In the two whole months of me phoning the Birmingham store i have had not one phone call back don’t even think they have a outgoing phone line. I have spoken to several different members of staff who couldn’t tell me what was happening as no one puts any details on the system and the person you had spoke to before is on holiday. The staff here must have more holidays than teachers. I was told two weeks ago that my speakers will be ready to pick up in seven to ten days Again i have spoken to another member of staff who threatened to phone me back still waiting for a call. Phoned a help line to complain about the lack of service and again was told that someone will call me back. BREAKING NEWS just had a call from superfi can’t believe it they must have used the phone box around the corner, my speakers will be ready for collection on the 2/8/13 and they will give me a call. Not that i am expecting a call on that date as i have had one call in two months after all the times they said they would call back. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR BUY ELSEWHERE AND SAVE THE HASSLE. I hope i don’t have any more problems with the speakers just so i don’t have to go through this, think i would rather throw them in the skip than go back to this store and there useless staff.
