Dunno, but all the Bristol Panasonic stores have gone too (well, Clifton and Bradley Stoke have).  Tough times I guess.

I believe the Sony centres owned by a certain small retail chain based in Nottingham were closed down (four of five of them, I think).

I do like superfi. I dealt with ben when buying my speakers and he was very helpful and accommodating.

Hope the RX8s are still kicking some- this is Ben, by the way. I'm not at the shop any more (before I get told to put my 'trade status' in my sig...). If I remember right, we listened to Man in the Mirror for the dem?

Yes that's right and some prodigy and 50 cent. After the demo I was happy with my speakers but after listening to the a38 you got in for me my old a75 was a little outclassed so I managed to get an a38 ex demo from ssav. Shortly after I took a chance on an ex demo cd37 from superfi Birmingham and it completed my system. I'm loving it  Dance 4

What do you do for work now?

I start in a gaduate management trainee role in a couple of weeks time. I wouldn't mind coming back into the industry at a later point, maybe in a rep role. Really enjoyed  working with customers such as yourself. I enjoyed that dem, and I'm not just saying that because I'm addressing you here.

Glad to hear the speakers are going strong, and the addition of the A38! I was gutted when I had to send the one I demo'd you back Blum 3

Good luck in your new job mate. The a38 really is a fantastic amplifier and will keep me happy for many years............ Although I am planning a big final upgrade of maybe monitor audio pl200 or similar priced speakers plus price comparable amp and source but that is way off in the future. I see superfi have started stocking some higher end stuff such as kef R series and monitor audio GX stuff now. I'd like to see more of this kind of thing in Lincoln but I guess it's such a unique market that not enough is sold compared to budget 5 star award winning kit to make it profitable.

Thanks everyone, ive not been on for a while as i feel i used to get "bullied" when i tried to help, plus the fact i got made redundent in january did not help matters...I still miss working at the Sony centre, but it got nasty towards the end with people getting greedy when they found out we were shutting down.I dont miss that part.but running a pub has given me a brand new set of challenges(i dj by trade too) so ive always had a pub/nightclub background. And i have taken my customer focus approch to the pub with me and its working!!!!.
