What can't you do, or think you can't do, on an iPhone?
Now I have to go to Amazon, buy a book and click 'send to the Duncan iPad'.
Can you do this via the Amazon app? If so, bit easier than having to get the laptop. Still very much less than ideal though, I'd agree.
Why would you have to get the laptop? I do it straight from Safari on the iPad...

ok so you can do it via the browser..of course.
Seems rather petulant of apple to make the process less smooth though. One thing I love about the kindle and kindle apps is how simple it is.

For 'petulant', I read 'greedy'.

Well it's definitely greed motivated, but surely in this case it makes no sense. Given that most people who use the Kindle app probably have a Kindle, then they will do as you say and buy using the browser. This makes the whole experience much less satisfactory, and that in itself supposedly goes against the apple way of doing things.

Conceptually, yes, but in practice I haven't really found it that big a deal.
Bit like active crossovers
