SQ on S3 compared to 4S

I currently own samsung s2 and need to buy new phone for pure SQ reason the SQ on S2 is terrible and doesn't do justice to my Shure se530m is the SQ on S3 is better the Iphone 4S? I know S3 has a better audio chip then S2 but is it better or on par with 4S?

 

I dont want to move to ios but SQ has priorit on eveything else? Smile

On paper the S3 should be better as it has a 24bit Wolfson Dac*.  The 4S does sound great, but never heared it side by side with same headphones so can't say.

 

*I'm assuming you live in Britain since most of us on this site do, if your from North America you loose the Wolfson on the S3 and get a boring Qualcomm chip instead.

I have an S3, but I would still say that the iphone 4s sounds better.

S3 is better for most other things IMO.

Interestingly the 1st gen ipod touch sounds better than both Smile

EDIT: I'd also add that Sure work very well with iphone / ipod.
