Problems with Spotify for Blackberry

Downloaded this app, but cant seem to log in with my existing Spotify premium details. I keep getting a message that says "could not connect to Spotify. Please check your network (wi-fi, APN) settings. I'm not on a wi-fi network but using a strong 3G signal . I've posted on the Spotify forum but no response as yet.
Does anyone have any ideas?
