Phone usage

Are you using your tablet tethered to your phone i.e. connecting to the internet through your phone's 3G signal? Or does your tablet have its own 3G card?

My tablet is a Nexus 7 and my Phone a Galaxy ace - i use bot via wifi to my home broadband for internet downloading

If both are connected to your home broadband, then your phone usage won't be used at all, so no need to worry about that. Your phone download limit will only be used when you use your phone outside of the house i.e. when you can't connect to your home wireless network and therefore connect via 3G to the phone provider's network .

Is it just the phone download you're worried about, or are you worried about your home broadband limit? If so, you can usually check this online at your provider's website how much of your monthly allowance you've used (at least I know you can with Plusnet which is what I have, so I assume other providers do the same thing).
