I'll try to copy paste one of my earlier pics (by disabling rich text) I posted & replace the link & size:
Somehow you've managed to get all sorts of formatting wrapped in and around the link. If I strip out all of that I get:

Works for me on my iPad, but had to change my input format to full HTML, then clicked on tree, pasted link and description and title and pressed Go on keyboard

Let me try again after disabling rich text:
Really? You didn't have to disable rich text? You should't have to do Full HTML.
This is the only way it has worked for me.
Scene, I've tried your suggestion, but nothing happens after I paste the link & click ok.
I do it in safari with rich text on, using the tree icon as described. No fuss.

Sorry, you always have to disable rich text on an iPad. You are using an iPad yes?
I'll try pressing go on the keyboard instead:
Nope, doesn't work when trying to post with the "tree icon".
Click back onto your post and press return, that may make the image appear in the browser. Or try again, it sometimes takes two goes to work for me.
Since the iOS 5.1 update, I haven't had to disable rich text to post on the forum.
Why is it still not working?
Only John's suggestion has worked. I'll stick with it for now.
To the OP: now you know why the tablet can't replace a laptop just yet.
Oh really? I didn't take 5.1 (and no way I'm taking 6 )
