And you constantly see faulty ones on eBay!

I think you'll probably find faulty versions of everything on eBay - this is what people do when something that's a long time out of it's warranty goes kaput. It's an indication that, at some point, all electrical items fail - nothing more sinister than that.

My Pure Move, in its neat red fake leather case, is brill!

Especially as it strongly reminds me of the very first radio I owned at 13. :rockout:

RE: Don't Buy Pure Radios!

We have two Pure ONE Mini Compact DAB/FM radios which are in constant daily use, and are excellent.  We have had them for a couple of years now.  My wife and I also have a Pure Pocket DAB 1500 each, and they are also used nearly everyday.  I use mine out walking the dog, and is brilliant!

As chebby says, you can't really compare them at this stage.

How old is "quite a few" anyway? Your original post suggested they were barely out of warranty, but quite a few to me suggests 4 or 5 years. There's no way I'd expect Pure to replace my radio free of charge after that amount of time - it only cost £80 or something!

Yep, they were about 4 or 5 years old, and my Roberts are getting on that now too.

Here are the faulty ones on eBay, they were the two I had!

Well we've had a Pure Evoke 1 since not long after they came out and had no problems with it.

According to Which - Pure scored 96-97% in reliability surveys (think it varies with which survey), which seems to imply that a lot of people think they're fairly reliable.

So you started a thread to slag off a product you haven't owned for 4 or 5 years? How ARE the new meds working Gel?

On the newer ones, not the older ones, and look at the grief!
