PS3 and bravia thx calibration

Im trying to use a thx disc to calibrate my bravia but when i fire up the ps3 i cant get into the home menu of the bravia. Any ideas of what im doing wrong?
Try using the AV button to cycle inputs and try again. The button possibly near or at the top of the remote. 'a square with an arrow entering from the left on it'.
