RE: Your PC Gaming specs

PC Spec - AMD Phenom II X4 955 @ 4Ghz, Asus Crosshair V Mobo, 8Gb Corsair Vengeance DDR3, 64Gb Crucial SSD, 500Gb Samsung Spinpoint F1, ATi Radeon 6950 2Gb, Asus D2X, Corsair H80 Water Cooling Loop.

I can't make up my mind what to do at the mo.  I upgraded my motherboard to the Crosshair V last November with the intention of getting an FX chip when they came out but since the underwhelming launch I'm harbouring thoughts of switching to Intel (for the first time since my first PC 15yrs ago!).

The 2nd generation FX chips should be emerging withing the next 3-4 months, just in time for my Open University grant, so i'll probably make my decision then.

(check out my system thread, linked below for more info/pic)

RE: Your PC Gaming specs

Ok i will wait for the coments concerning Alienware but at the time with all the discounts and corperation discounts i had at the time the tower system cost me £520 inc delivery from £620 which worked out just as cheap for me to build my first PC after a 6 year break from gaming PC's

Alienware X51 case

Intel i3 2120 CPU ( 3.30mhz X 2 )

Memory 6gb DDR3 PC-10700 (667mhz)

Mobo is a Modded Alienware motherboard

240watt Alienware PSU

Nvidia GeForce GTX640 GPU

1TB 7200rpm  Hard Drive

Windows 8.1

Dell U2212HM Display

Razer DeathAdder Mouse

Not to many upgrades i can do, i may change to a matching 8gb ram and ssd in the new year, if i upgrade GPU to GTX 680 then i have to upgrade PSU costing £110 so not sure if to hold on and start a new build later next year
