The great Winston Spencer Churchill.....

Only 8 more companion volumes and 2 volumes of war papers to go now....

My collection of volumes of the 'official' Winston S. Churchill biography has taken me a few years (on and off) scouring s/h bookshops and charity shops and ebay to get this far - avoiding the vastly inflated prices some volumes go for - all 1st edition English editions (except vol 1 of the war papers). Along the way I have picked up duplicate volumes that were in better condition and donated the old ones to the local library. (Nothing scruffy though.)
Martin Gilbert started as a junior researcher - employed by Randolph Churchill - in 1962 and took over as the biographer when Randolph died three years after his father (Winston) in 1968. The work was still continuing in 2000. I am not quite sure if Gilbert has any more additions to make now though.
I think the biography still holds the record as the most extensive ever.
I will probably have to 'bite the bullet' one day, skip a hifi upgrade, and pay the going rate for the Vol V companion parts. (They go for £hundreds per volume as there were less printed).
I also have 'History of the English speaking Peoples' by the great man and his history of the second world war and a few other books by and about him.
Oh and I love photography as well. (Though usually to a higher standard than the pics above.)
Used to love Macro Photography hence my Avatar but no longer seem to be able to dedicate the time I need, last Few years My main Pass time other that AV has been Archery, been an Engineer I had to shoot a Compound Bow.

I rarely catch even the omnibus edition these days...
I'm in a rock band. I may have mentioned this. I have more guitars than are strictly necessary to support this pastime.
Apart from these, I don't really have time for other hobbies

Golf and gaming (PS3 / Xbox) really.
Don't think you can count drinking as a hobby, but I seem to do more of it than I probably should. With friends I should add!

But this is not mathematically possible!!
25 songs in your average set, one song per guitar...

Gangster with a long bow? You're about 900 years too late.

2. Cars, cars and cars. Have worked in the auto industry for last 20 years, can't ever imagine leaving it, though I do despair at some publications rather naive views of how the industry really operates.
3. Music as in playing blues / rock on a very tasty Gibson SG standard though a nice warm all valve 30W combo. One day Angus, you will call me
