mine is 1990, i remember it was a pretty good summer wheatherwise, i was only 21 and had a great time, i was living in harlesden, london at the time with 4 of my friends from ireland, hardly monte carlo but it was still great.. lots of partying, lots of fun, a little bit of work[:$].. i was introduced to pink floyd, dylan, the doors, etc that summer, very relaxing[H], also, ireland had a great run in the world cup, beating romania on pens and eventually going out at the hands of italy. just great summer memories[:)]

some of the music i remember from the charts at the time...

seal  .. killer.. (adamski at the time)

sinead oconner .. nothing compares..

the happy mondays ..  step on...

billy idol ..  la woman..

snap.. the power..

allana miles.. black velvet..

pavarotti.. nessum dorma..

ub40.. kingston town..

the charlatans.. the only one i know..

do you have a fav summer? do you remember the music you liked or that was in the charts at the time?

Summer '91.

My mate Erol's parents went to their holiday home in Cyprus for a few months.

Me, Erol and my other mates Nick & Pete all moved into Erol's for a few months.

Yes, the house did look and smell as bad as you'd think with four 17 y.o lads (and numerous other visitors) with no sense of cleanliness.

The whole thing was played out to Metallica's 'Black album' which came out in May '91.

Good times.......Yes

The following year i got a job, so long lazy summers became a thing of the past.Sad

summer 95,i  was 17 and just past my driving  test  so at the weekend we would pick a destination and drive there. i had a 1987 ford capri and the music at the time was oasis vs blur.

when i first got the car it had a cassette deck and i had a house version of the monkeys theme tune that got stuck in there and continuasly played on a trip to brightron and back,90 minute drive each way, 3 minute song(i think the same thing happend with every thing but the girl single)soon after that the cassette deck was upgraded for a cd player.
