Who Owns Who?

Philips don't own Marantz anymore. Marantz are owned by DNM Holdings who also own Denon and McIntosh.

Teac own Tascam and Esoteric.

Sony own the Aiwa name, but thats all it is these days - a name.

The only one on the list I can help with is that I believe Pioneer is owned by Sharp.

JVC and Kenwood are now one (news here)

So the guy who started Panasonic lent out the factory that was used to start Sanyo.

And Matsushita(Panasonic) also owns a 50% shareholding in JVC so I guess it therefore means they have a stake in Kenwood too. (Nothing to do with Kenwood mixers which have always been an entirely different company based in Havant, Hampshire.)
