Oh, good point, evidentally I was standing next to Kirsty Allsop in Gap Baby in Exeter a couple of months ago, I didn't notice her as I was too busy covering my PIN! The missus noticed though and insisted we stand outside the shop for about 5 minutes waiting for her to come out. She didn't, so I left her to it.

Tom Hanks... while he was in London (Leicester sq) promoting Apollo13. I nearly got run over by the car he was being driven in. I got a decent photo though! 
About ten years ago, volunteered to attend a trade exhibition just outside of Guildford - it was one of these outdoor affairs. I helped run a stool, and about mid afternoon, this bloke walked up with a sassy looking lady on his arm. He was dripping with jewellery; a moment or two after he walked away my colleague said: I recognise him, though not sure where..."
A few minutes later, my colleague cam up to me again, smiling: " That guy," he exclaimed rather proudly. "what about him?" I said nonchalantly. Anyway, "that guy" was Ben Dover. As I'd lived a rather sheltered existence, I'd never heard of him, and didn't really care either.
Not really a great 'claim to fame' but it's the best I can offer....
