I'm planning to sell my Mercedes C class & Mazda MX5, and going for an E class instead. I've got winter tyres from my C class. Will they fit the E class? If not, where can I sell them? The tread on them is very good.

Depends entirely on the size of wheel fitted to each car I'd guess.
No signature worth mentioning...
I am quite liking Gumtree at the mo too, since facebook ruined their own marketplace.

I'm planning to sell my Mercedes C class & Mazda MX5...
I remember the MX5 was a wedding gift to your wife. I notice it's "my Mercedes C class & Mazda MX5" now.
Marantz M-CR603 + AirPlay • Rega R3 loudspeakers • iPhone 5 • iMac • Apple Airport Extreme 802.11n • Apple iPad Mini • Panasonic TX-L32D25B • Sony BDP-S390 • Ruark Audio R1 Deluxe • Humax HDR-Fox T2
Both are hers, so will the E class be. I would like to think it's mine.
Looks like the E class has a different tyre size.
Could you sell them with the car? New owner might be interested, unless you're trading it in

I'm trading it in. No hassle that way.
Don't blame you. In which case I'd suggest eBay or Gumtree, as have already been mentioned.
Whichever Mercedes forum is the biggest would be a good shout. This one maybe?
where can I sell them?
Anywhere North of Dundee - all year round.
Did I mention I worked in Aberfreeze for fifteen years?
My eldest son lives there. He got winter tyres fitted a couple of years ago and when he asked the guy fitting them at what point he should consider changing them back again, the guy just smirked and said, "If I were you son, I wouldnt worry about it"
Going back to the OP, Gumtree is brilliant, I've sold loads of stuff on there recently. Just ask a reasonable price, cash only (no swaps) and buyer must collect, job done
Store the winters in a dark place - eg, cellar or garage, etc - until there's widespread snow in the UK again, then whack 'em on eBay and make a small fortune because Kwik Fit et al will be sold out of winters and people will be panic-buying...
And it'd be savvy to make a note of the tyres' brand and type. And size/speed rating etc - look on the sidewall for a combo of numbers arranged, for example, thus: '225/40/R18 92W'.
Good idea! I'll put it on eBay & gumtree in October. How much should I charge? It's only seen 2 seasons, so has a lot of life left.
What's the tread-depth (in millimetres)? Are the sidewalls undamaged - ie, no gouges or cracks?
What's the manufacturer/brand and what's the type/model? For example: Goodyear, Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2.
Haven't measure the tread, but it's quite good. No damage to sidewalls. Brand is Continental. Will check model tomorrow.
