Whats up with our weather ?
after last years cool and thorougly washout summer we have had month after month of below average temperatures and now almost in April its just about to get a darn sight colder with heavy lasting snow forcast for many places
all months since august last year have been below the average temps,
when ws the last decent summer, several years ago actually
please dont mention a warming climate to me ever again

I suspect this is an unexpected side effect of hell freezing over.

I remember in 1985 we had heavy snow and ice here for almost the whole of March. (And this is right on the South Coast).
The lowest temperature ever recorded in the UK was in 1919.
The freeze of winter 1962-63 dwarfed anything experienced here since. (29th December until March 6th before the first ice free day.) I have it on good authority that our local harbour (Langstone) froze solid for weeks.
It's Britain. We have crazy, mixed up weather and always have had.
Anyway, we've had two days of glorious sunshine this week so I'm not complaining.

Yeah, our weather is and probably always will be forever weird I recon.
We have very strange weather now all over the globe.
Usa, China, New Zealand, UK and countless other countries are now all witnessing THE MOST strange weather patterns... ever, given that now and then over history and more kind of recent history at that we have always had a season or two outwith the ordinary but what we are now witnessing seems completely different altogether.
I blame Emperor Ming !

Numerous scientists, or Jeremy Clarkson?
It's hard to know which one to believe isn't it, but I think on this subject, I think I'd rather listen to the scientists, rather than a gobby, pompous, air polluting t****r, who knows nothing about the planet.
Just my opinion, and we're all aloud one of those, even if like Clarkson, we know nothing about the subject.

No-one expects them to be Brian Cox.
Clarkson is just an overgrown ex public schoolboy who says what reactionary, middle class, Daily Mail reading, little Englanders actually think (but daren't say for fear of being thought of as knobs). He is a knob so they don't have to be.

Global warming is messing with the Gulf stream and North Atlantic drift. Here in Sweden we have had the coldest March on record (it's been below zero for most of it).
Instead of shouting ill-informed nonsense, perhaps read up a little. Global is "global average" and what it means is many places will indeed heat up (such as the arctic and antarctic where the ice is melting at a faster rate than at any time in human recorded history), and in others that are heated up by steady seasonal flows such as the gulf stream, they may indeed get colder.
I must admit i'm feeling a bit SAD myself.
