I've heard of bambi (G) but i haven't heard of paxman, if it's on the bbc, probably why as i don't watch the bbc.
formerly known as slewis ---
Jeremy Paxman is known for far more than just university challenge and I'm afraid I simply don't believe that you've never heard of him.
No signature worth mentioning...
All we need is for Bambi to make an appearance. :)
It's been Jeremy Paxman for the last 19 years!
Bamber Gascoigne hasn't hosted it for 26 years. Where have you been? There are many people now in their 40s who might never have seen, or heard of, BG. It's verging on TV archeology.
I know but Bambi sounds more interesting.
Scumbags Unversity. We lost to the posh one that I can't recall (with Stephen Fry and Emma Thompson...Bambi was in charge of the contest)...and I think it was Motorhead "Ace of Spades" on that episode.

Often interesting to learn how few first degrees reflect chosen careers. I never 'used' my Physics but moved into Maths and then IT. Love the aeronautics/mining comparison.
Nottingham. Colour physics/ Polymer Chemistry 1970`s
I can top that. O level woodwork!! Even then the teacher cheated the project was a paltform on a ratchet device, totally impossible on the time alloted ( saturday morning ) so he cut the ratchets out for everybody and we just roughed them up to look unique.
Nice one! Cheers.
I have not started my career yet! I am doing voluntary charity work at the moment in administation. Trying to get a full time job now and have had five interviews which has been quite varied in job spec. At the moment I am out of ideas to know what to do! I am just focussing on building up my charity work. I often apply for trainee and assistant Administarion work, so will probably end up doing something like that.
