I used to leap for the door as mail was delivered with boy like glee, however I just dont enjoy the repeat content of death by tv/phone/av amp etc etc.
Its just not to my liking, not to say the magazine is not catering for a wide taste, just not mine.
Another Custom PC reader. I don't subscribe to it but I am a fairly regular reader.

As a wee dude, I used to get the Beano and Beezer, boy I luved them.
Until recently I used to get Land Rover Monthly and still get the RegTranfers mag (as I am in this edition)
WHF might be on the cards.
Why would you, when just about everything is given away free on the website, and often way ahead of the publication of the magazine?
'And so on February 22nd 1966, at Luton airport...'
Not everything that gets put in the mag gets put on here. It is your hobby and you like to follow and keep up to date with stuff.
Like supporting the mag if it has helped you out with previous purchases. It is a good buying guide with shops to buy from. You can see who gets mentioned on the forum questions and answers page. Lots of reasons to buy and support.
What, like in the news section here? And anyway, there are lots of sites giving more up to date news of what's happening in real hi-fi, not mainly phones and iPad speculation and news about mobile networks and football on TV, and delivering that news sooner, and in a more informed manner.
Like the shop on the site, you mean?
But if that Q&A is taken from the forum, haven't the questions already been answered? Or is it just a foolish vanity thing of seeing who gets mentioned in print?
You don't seem to have given any credible ones yet. Surly the only one is that the buyers of the magazine support the costs of this website, but then other similar sites seem to survive OK without a magazine to fund them?
If you read the mag you would know! Not all news stories get put on here, and group tests don't get put on here. The question and answers often you don't see on here, most seem to get emailed in, some do though, and yes I like to follow. Not all shops are on here too, they have a classified section for shops. On here you just get a taste of what is in the mag. Would you buy the mag if there wasn't a WHF website then? If you don't like it why post on here?
I'd argue you get much more than 'just a taste'. I used to read the magazine for many years, but now I find less of interest in it every month, and that this site and all the others out there tell me all I need to know about the subjects in which I am interested. Mind you this isn't unique to WHSV: I used to read all the hi-fi magazines, but now I read none.
WHF was the last to go a few months back. It was in the recycling by the afternoon of the day it arrived.
I've subscribed to various mags over the years but they've all gone the same way.
