What is your favourite advert of all time?
McEwans lager from the mid 80's (think it was first aired during the 86 World Cup). The track used was Win - You've got the power. It was so different to evrything being done at that time and lasted for about 3 mins. Some kind of bizarre future world if my memory serves me.
I also liked the Daddy or chips ad. You know the one.

i can understand joel because it is his business though im intrigued by his pushing the boundaries comment which i presume is meant in a wellesian citizen kane sort of way
Given the choice between Coronation Street and the ads at half time...
This festive Irn Bru one is amazing.

These adverts are either more original, visually stunning or just plain funnier than alot of programmes on TV.

If most people did that then ITV1 wouldn't have been able to charge £250,000 for a single 30 second slot during the X-Factor final.
Guinness is consistently creative/different/original is what I meant.
Stereotyping at it's best...

And this one I only saw broadcasted once before it was banned but I can still remember it to this day...

one off:ads are a symptom of how sick this society is
Do you live in a hospital?
Anyway OP- good question- for me (as a child of the sixties)
Plumrose chopped ham with pork
Plumrose plopped ham with chork
Plumrose hopped chork with pam.
no my comment was more on the fact that ads are taken seriously at all
its like those awards companies give to their staff
